Birthday times three!

Grandma Allen's birthday was July 31st, Hannah's was July 7th, and Andrew's birthday was August 1st....so therefore we had one big birthday bash!! The kids wanted to surprise Grandma Allen with a giraffe cake, because giraffes are her favorite. So we decided to have a jungle party and made a lion and elephant cake for the others two little monkeys. It is always a lot of fun when we all gather together.

Quad cities

We got to spend the day with Grandpa Dick and Grandpma Pat in the Quad cities. First we went to the John Deere museum and we got to see all of the big machines. (My pics are out of order). Then we went to Happy Joe's for lunch (a family favorite). Then we ended the day at the Children's Museum.

Andrew put on the giraffe costume special for Grandma Allen!

Andrew's birthday with friends.

This is the first year that Andrew had a birthday party with his friends. We had our neighbor's Ellie and Jack over along with his friend Luke. He wanted a Yo Gabba Gabba cake, which I made using Fondant...side note I love the show Ace of Cakes. Anyway we had a basketball toss, football toss and then the kids made wooden airplanes. They loved the airplanes and were running all over dive bombing the planes, it was a lot of fun.

Jamaica - 10 year anniversary

This is Athena and I with England. We all went on a glass bottom boat ride the second day we were in Jamaica, he took a liking to us all and then took us snorkeling a couple of different times. England also brought us fresh sugar cane to try...he couldn't believe that we didn't have any water around us. He was great as was the whole staff.

The pool.

One of our snorkeling adventures.

Chilling

The boys played alot of ping pong, and then the last day we were there we found a ping pong table on the beach...and had couples tournaments. It was so much fun spending time with our frineds the Grady's.

We decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary by going to Jamaica. We went with our good friends the Grady's who were also celebrating their 10 year anniversary. It was so much fun...we literally did nothing but relax and laugh! It was been a wonderful 10 years (most of the time). I love Bob's sense of humor and how after 10 years he still makes me laugh so hard I cry!

4th of July

Over the 4th of July we got to celebrate Tranae's 13th birthday. Kalin thinks Tranae is the coolest person in the world, and Tranae is very patient when it comes to spending time with Kalin. Tranae rocks...which is why I made her the cool cake below!

The two cutest boys in the world. The must have some pretty good looking mamas!

The girls were not quite as brave as Andrew, but they had a lot of fun.

This is as close as Andrew has ever come to fire (I think)...amazingly enough no one got injured!

Niabi Zoo

The kids wanted to take this picture for Great Grandma Allen...she LOVES giraffes.

For Father's Day we went to the Niabi Zoo. It was fun spending the day as a family and celebrating what a great job Bob does being a Dad.

Soccer

Andew tried soccer out this year. He sort of liked it...but after warm ups he was always too tired to play in the actual game. He says next year he wants to try t-ball.
